| So its officially the start of my last semester as a second year... how time has flown!! Anyway, took my Employability module in to the office, after Jasmine freaked me out by making me think we had an employability lecture today when it was actually employment law which I don't do! haha! ( then to be told it was late, which it wasn't - luckily they soon figured out their mistake and confirmed that it was on time, so it won't affect my mark. Silly uni receipt people...). Went to the law school office to get my other coursework marks and it was closed (bloody typical) so I couldn't get them . Might go in one day next week as I will be nearby for exams and such.
After that, and a stressful and rushed journey, I had mentoring at the school. It went really well, so much so that we forgot about time and were still chatting when the bell went for the end of the day! But a good sign I guess, and we set a target for the next session (maths revision help - yikes, maths was my worst subject lol!!), so next Thursday I will be revising Pythagoras's theorem all over again haha! I have decided to keep a diary of my mentoring, so that when I apply for my PGCE and my Student Associates next year I will have a portfolio of my experience, which can only go in my favour! Can't wait to apply for the PGCE in September! Roll on 2007!
Kovu was really well behaved too considering I had been out for most of the day; I have bought him a cat carrier too, as Dad has said he will look after him while I am on holiday, up at Julies which is cool! So Kovu can now safely be transported! Yay for him!
Tomorrow I am going to spend at the library revising my head off ready for my first exam on monday. I seem to work better under pressure and cramming, so the next three weeks is pressure central for me! Finger's crossed. And I also am going to fill in my student finance form for next year; find out what I would be entitled to if I did want to take out a student loan...and also how much Dad has to pay for my tuition next year ! Good job I get paid for the PGCE!
I have also bought a replacement DVD unit for my car (as the other decided to pack up....grrr...but the new one is much better, and is Hitachi so a higher standard all round). An early exam pressie, and also a treat for myself for working my ass off at Thorntons over Easter... that money was damn well earned! And I have bought Inventing the Abbotts on DVD, which should be here tomorrow, so after working hard all day I am going to watch Joaquin! Woo! What a reward!
Wish me monsters for my revision-fest tomorrow!! bye bye xxx
| | Currently Listening Crazy By Gnarls Barkley only because the nobs d/stairs are playing it too loud and singing to it too badly! see related |
God revision sucks... I am so not in the mood to revise easements and adverse possession. It's depressing. But it's weekend again which is good, and it's a girly weekend too which is even better.
Kovu (i found out too his name means Scar in Swahili which is cool, as he is scarring me with his scratching haha, and also Joaquin has a cute scar just like what Kovu is!!) is doing well, settled in and is enjoying playing with everything that moves! I Have managed to take the bell off his collar (as it was driving him mad!!) and so now he looks all sexy and blingy I also figured out tonight that he likes Burger King chips; he went mad for them when I came back from the Drive Thru!! Bless him! Lisa and Tom came over today to see him too; they have now decided they want a kitten!! Haha!!
Anyway not really got much else to say; this week has been revision revision revision...Tomorrow however, it is Singstar-fest, and it will be as loud as possible so I can get sweet revenge on the tossers downstairs who are keeping me up right now with their super loud hardcore and Gnarls Barkley rubbish... Oh how I can't wait to play Joaquin at 7am full blast when they are all hungover to shit!! Ha!
| Well, Easter is out of the way; which is good coz work has been craaaazy! Although Cheryl is takin us out for a meal to say thankyou for the hard work; which is nice I guess. But it also means my exams are way too close for comfort, and I really need to sit down and do sum proper revision. Hmph...
Sat, went to est for Smithy's bday celebrations; which was really nice even though we did get lost finding it! Hope you liked the pressies!! And the cake hehe! Then we stayed at julies and watched quills (mmm joaquin...)
Yesterday was the day i finally went to pick up kovu!!!! He was really good on the way home, just fell asleep on me awww!! And he seems to have settled well, he's eatin fine and loves to fall asleep on my shoulder - just like having a baby but cuter haha!! His litter training seems fine too, which is great! So all is well; although he seems to like walking on my keyboard wen im on the comp haha!
Not up to much today; i should really start some revision i guess... but heres some pics:

| I am so glad I had today off work, mainly to catch up on sleep and to do absolutely nothing. Although I did intend to revise... but...
Anyway, Friday took the keys back to work, and everything was fine and Cheryl was very happy with how I left the shop . I'm on lock-up duty as well 2moro, so wish me luck! Picked Kel up, after a nightmare journey on the M6, and went to see Kovu! Oh my god, he is the cutest little thing, and so soft and fluffy! His little eyes made me fall in love with him straight away! And, he will be ready in about a week, as he is in the process of being weaned (aww). Which is extra cool, as the person I am having him off said she will look after him while I am away on holiday! How ace is that! I am going to get her a card to say thankyou, as he is totally gorgeous and I am now counting down the days until I can bring him home!
Saturday, work went OK, and afterwards Kel came over and we went to Blockbuster thinkin we could get Joaquin films, but they had none! How bad is that! So we went to the smaller video shop, and they had loads! So we got Quills and Gladiator - not that we watched any as we went to the pub for a drink, where Kel beat my dad and me at darts, thus winning a tenner, and we all got wasted!! (some more than others ) Got in around 1-30ish, and it was hangovers all round on Sunday - but me being me could murder a big roast dinner. Instead, after taking Kel home, I went to Julies and we had steak and stuff which was yum. And I caught up on my much needed sleep!
Plus, I found the perfect opportunity to tell my dad about Kovu, and so in the end he agreed (not that he took much persuading might I add!!) which is cool as I won't have to worry about him when Dad comes to the flat. And, he went out on Sunday morning and even bought me a cat basket! Haha! So the place will be all ready for when he comes!!
Anyway, here is the first (of very many!!) pictures of my little boy :
Isn't he the cutest!!
